There are a variety of ways to consider making a gift. Some options are listed below. If cash, check, or credit card, you can donate now online, or mail your gift to us with your check or credit card information. You may also want to consider a recurring monthly gift, which is an easy way to make a significant gift that provides continuing support for our residents.

Why Give

Your tax-deductible donation directly supports the operations and care throughout our facility. We understand facing end-of-life is challenging. Your donation ensures dying individuals and their families are treated with dignity and kindness, and can experience a peaceful environment in their final days.

Care Fund

This is a restricted fund that provides financial assistance to people without the funds to cover all costs, yet do not qualify for other support. Your gift ensures that high quality residential hospice care is available to people of all income levels. 

Planned Gifts

When you make a planned gift to Southern Oregon Friends of Hospice, you help ensure a future of compassionate care and relief for Rogue Valley residents. Remembering SOFH in your estate is one of the most meaningful ways that you can support the future of hospice care in the Southern Oregon.

A planned gift may allow you to make a significant contribution while providing tax benefits and other advantages such as life income. We recommend you discuss with your financial advisor or attorney how best to structure your estate to provide for loved ones and fulfill your philanthropic wishes.

With a planned gift, you can donate cash, stock, real estate, or other assets through your will, retirement plan, life insurance policy, trust, or life income gift. Wills and Living Trusts

Your will or living trust affirms and honors what you value most. Through a specific bequest, you can specify a dollar amount, a percent of your estate, or a specific asset such as real estate or stock, to benefit Southern Oregon Friends of Hospice. Your financial advisor or attorney may wish to include language similar to the following:I give, devise and bequeath (choose one: _______ dollars  ______ percent of my estate  _____ specific assets  ______ percent of the residue of my estate) to Southern Oregon Friends of Hospice. (Tax ID #94-3453606), an Oregon nonprofit corporation, to be used in such a manner as the Board of Directors of Southern Oregon Friends of Hospice shall, in its discretion, determine.

The Annual Fund provides much needed support for the day-to-day running of Celia’s House in Holmes Park. Gifts of all sizes are encouraged and accepted and every gift makes a difference! 

Donations to the Annual Fund support our operating budget. Your gift benefits all essential operations, from purchasing supplies, food, and equipment to providing warm and comforting rooms for residents. The entire Southern Oregon Friends of Hospice family: nurses, resident-service volunteers, certified nurse aides, food and nutrition staff, administration, finance, garden volunteers, maintenance staff use operating funds to carry out vital work contributing to the success and smooth functioning of Celia’s House in Holmes Park. 

Memorial and Honorary Gifts

You can make a special tribute to a family member or friend whose life has been touched by Celia’s House in Holmes Park. An honorary or memorial gift is a lasting way to share your commitment to compassionate care. Donation Form. Donate Cryptocurrency

Gifts of Stock or Real Estate

Donating stock to Southern Oregon Friends of Hospice may provide you significant tax benefits. With a donation of appreciated securities, you avoid paying capital gains taxes and can deduct the fair market value of the stock at the time of your contribution. Southern Oregon Friends of Hospice Endowment Fund of the Oregon Community Foundation

The purpose of this Fund is to support our mission into perpetuity.  While the principal of the fund is permanently restricted, the annual interest supports the operations of SFOH. Your contribution to this endowment ensures the continuation of our programs well into the future.
